Jim started his litigation
practice in 1994 after graduating magna cum laude from the University of
Alabama School of Law, where he served on the Law Review and was a Hugo Black
Scholar. He was named a partner at Burr & Forman LLP in 2000. In 2005, Jim
co-founded Battle Fleenor Green Winn & Clemmer
LLP. In 2010, he joined Wilson Green and Ricky McKinney in forming Fleenor
Green & McKinney LLP.
Jim has a wide range of
experience in handling civil litigation matters, serving as lead counsel in
scores of cases varying from personal injury claims to complex class actions.
His experience and successes have given him the opportunity to represent
national health and life insurance companies, product manufacturers, and large
retailers as well as local clients involved in routine disputes. Jim was
recently recognized in Alabama Super Lawyers for his work in the
litigation area. Jim is a member of
both the Alabama Bar and the Mississippi Bar.

Wilson graduated from
Birmingham-Southern College, summa cum laude, in 1991, where he was
inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. In 1994, he received his law degree, summa cum
laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he served on the
Alabama Law Review and was a Hugo Black Scholar and Dean M. Leigh Harrison
Scholar.
Wilson began his legal
career by serving as law clerk to the Hon. Robert B. Propst,
United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, in 1994 and
1995. For the next ten years, Wilson was a partner at Sirote
& Permutt, P.C. and Burr & Forman LLP in
Birmingham, Alabama, where he practiced in commercial and civil litigation.
In 2005, Wilson, his
partner Jim Fleenor, and othe former partners of Burr
& Forman LLP formed a small litigation boutique firm. In 2010, he and Jim,
along with their former Burr partner Ricky McKinney, Fleenor Green &
McKinney LLP.
Wilson has a wide range of
experience in handling complex civil litigation matters, serving as lead counsel
in scores of cases varying from class actions, to tax disputes, to business and
commercial litigation. He has argued as lead counsel in cases before the
Supreme Court of Alabama and the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal.
For ten years, Wilson
taught Class Actions, Complex Litigation, and other courses at the University
of Alabama School of Law. He has testified as an expert witness as to class
action issues, has served as a mediator in class cases, including as an
appointed mediator by the Supreme Court of Alabama. For the past two years,
Wilson has been recognized in Alabama Super Lawyers for his work in
class actions and business litigation.

Ricky has practiced law
since 1986, trying over 30 jury trials to verdict and hundreds of bench trials.
He began his legal career in 1986 as an Assistant City Attorney in Tuscaloosa,
Alabama. He later became a lead trial attorney with the Tuscaloosa County
Public DefenderÕs Office for five years. Ricky served as legislative assistant
to the Alabama Lt. Governor for two years, after which he maintained a general
trial practice with Watson, Harrison & deGraffenreid
LLC from 1992-1996. In 1996 he became a partner with Burr & Forman LLP in
Birmingham, Alabama, practicing in the firmÕs litigation section. In 2010,
Ricky, along with Jim Fleenor and Wilson Green, co- founded Fleenor, Green
& McKinney LLP.
Ricky received his B.A. in
History from Talladega College in 1980, where he received the Presidential
Scholarship, and his M.P.P.A. from Mississippi State University in 1983, where
he was a Robert F. Kennedy Scholar. In 1986, he received his J.D. from the
University of Alabama School of Law.
He is a member of the
American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the Alabama Bar (1986),
the Mississippi Bar (2004), the Tennessee Bar (2004) and the Texas Bar (2004)
and a Charter Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
